While some of these revolutionaries such as Mahatma Gandhi followed the path of non-violence to further their aim others took to rather aggressive approach to fight the British and drive them away.
The joint efforts of both these types of revolutionaries paid off and India finally got Independence on 15th August Since then, 15th August is celebrated as Independence Day each year.
